Since the start of the COVID-19 lockdown measures, British food banks and similar services have seen more and more families needing their support. In response to this, several Social Supermarkets have been established across the Wirral to support struggling households, but Noctorum has remained a chronically underserved area.
The Noctorum Social Supermarket will provide cut-price food and household products to families in the area. It is run by the community, for the community and is open to all. Our mission is that no local resident ever goes hungry.
The community-focused drive to make a difference in the Noctorum area is the heartbeat of the Social Supermarket project. As a community base for children, adults and families, it will be a catalyst for creating long-term change. Its function as a food service is just the beginning…
By collaborating with local volunteers, we are constantly discovering new opportunities to support residents. Keep an eye on our social media to see what exciting projects we have coming up!
A key goal for Break The Mould is helping people gain work experience and kickstart their careers. At the Social Supermarket, we are proud to be providing work experience for people with disabilities so they can learn and develop in a fun and safe environment. As the social supermarket grows, so will our impact.
